Very educational and our first wine tour was especially good. The owner and his wife toured us through the 300+ year old winery and had an excellent tasting. "We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in the Douro valley region led by our lovely guide Raquel. Our group was a nice mix of six Americans, one Brit and one Finn. I think the tour was nicely structured with a pit stop after the initial drive and an enjoyable lunch with copious wine! The visits to the wineries were great without any force selling. The local guides were great. Special mention has to go to Raquel - she was very informative and approachable and did her best to break the ice in the group which was never a problem after the wine tasting started! Her knowledge of the wine production was extensive and it was great to get the insight before tasting the wine. Overall, a great day out in an astonishingly beautiful region!"
