One of the most sought after adventures in Split and Dalmatia is Blue cave and Hvar tour. This tour is so popular because it gives you a chance to see the most famous destinations around Split and all in a day. If you would to go on your own it would take at least 3 days to see all of it. This is a whole day tour and it starts at 8:00 am. Small group of people gathers in front of our agency (Hrvojeva 10) as our guide takes you to the boat. You travel in a speed boat with comfortable and safe seats that fits maximum 10 people.

First stop of the tour is the Blue Cave. Its name already describes it perfectly. Known for its crystal blue water Blue Cave attracts large number of tourists and local people each day during the summer. It is located on the small island of Biševo. The cave was originally accessible only by diving as it had one natural entrance below the sea level. An artificial entrance large enough for small boats was built in 1884. We like to go in the morning to secure the chance of entering in the cave considering the fact that sometimes it can be closed due to sea rise. The entrance gets blocked and it is impossible to access it by boat. Because of already mentioned large number of people that want to see it we need to wait our turn to enter. Don’t worry we do all the waiting for you while you relax on the beach. Once it’s our turn to enter we go in with a small wooden boat and tour the cave. Depending on the season, the ideal moment to visit the cave is between 11 AM and 12 noon. At this time of day the sunlight reflects through the water coming from the white floor of the cave and bathes the grotto in aquamarine light, while objects in the water appear to be silver.

After Blue Cave sightseeing we continue our cruise along the south east side of Vis island to visit Stiniva Beach and stop by Budikovac island. Stiniva beach is a place to stop and take a dip because it was voted on numerous locations as one of most interesting and beautiful beaches in Europe. Thanks to its rocks that are naturally shaped as a door that let only small boats inside of it. Stiniva cove was voted to European beach of 2016. After about an hour swimming there we go to the Budikovac Island for some swimming and snorkelling. Budikovac island is one of many in Vis aquatorium, inhabited but charming with its beach bar and splendid swimming location. If you do not prefer to swim, you can always choose to have a drink in local beach bar.

Next stop of the tour are Hvar and Pakleni islands. Pakleni islands is actually a set of islands located in front of Hvar town, famous for its beauty and amazing gastro offer. There you can find some of the best sea food restaurants like Laganini and Toto’s or popular beach clubs like Carpe Diem Beach Club in Stipanska bay. And yes, we just can’t go over it: the actual correct name of this set of islands is PAKLENI islands. It was named after Pakllina, a black resin characteristic for the type of pines growing on the islands. You get 3 hours of free time on Palmižana- small uninhabited village on the Croatian island of Sveti Klement in the Adriatic Sea, located off the Dalmatian coast.

Last stop on our tour is the island of Hvar. It needs no introduction given the fact that it is one of the most famous tourist destination in the world. You will have 2 hours of free time in the city of Hvar, more than enough time to have a meal there. Also, our skipper will pay attention that you have enough free time both for sightseeing and having a lunch/dinner in Hvar town. When it comes to sightseeing, we can only mention here few locations not to miss: Fortress on top of the hill above Hvar, Main Square, St. Stephen’s cathedral.

Hvar is the last stop of the tour but on your way back to Split you will have the chance to experience one of the most beautiful sunsets. The perfect ending of a perfect day.
