Chapada Diamantina: 5-Day Trekking Trip In Vale Do Paty

- What Will You Do

Day 1
Leaving Lençóis by car, we will arrive at Vila do Guiné where the trail to Vale do Pati begins, considered one of the most beautiful trekkings in the world! We will start with a 3-hour hike, on average, going up Morro do Beco, passing through Gerais do Rio Preto, a path in which we will pass through several streams and enjoy the beautiful landscape of open and golden countryside, until we reach the "Ramp" or Mirante do Pati, where we will have one of the most beautiful views of the Valley. We will then proceed to one of the natives' houses, where we will find good food and lodging.

Day 2
On this day, we will take a walk to Morro do Castelo where we will have a majestic panoramic view of the valley and then we will continue to the Cachoeira dos Funis, a small waterfall that forms an extensive black lake of calm waters, delicious for an invigorating bath. The trail to Cachoeira dos Funis reserves beautiful landscape surprises. The path is all rocky and hollow gold miners made in the cracks of the stones can still be seen. At the end of the afternoon we will return to the accommodation.

Day 3
The crossing of the Pati Valley begins, but first we will visit the Cachoeirão from above! When we arrive at Cachoeirão, we will have a beautiful view of the valley at 280 meters high and at certain times, you can see up to 22 waterfalls. After that, we will return to the natives' house for another night of rest.

Day 4
We left our accommodation and went to Cachoeirão por Baixo, the same set of waterfalls we visited the day before. But this time we go below and we can bathe in different pools formed by these waterfalls. The various waterfalls fall from a horseshoe-shaped wall and the largest is almost 300 meters high. On this day, we will walk 15 km on average, with stops for swimming, stretches of climb and stretches where we walk on stones on the riverbed. In the evening, we will rest again at the natives' house and have a wonderful dinner to prepare for the return the next day!

Day 5
We leave the accommodation and continue towards Andaraí, we will go up the Serra do Império and in the city the car will be waiting for us to return to Lençóis.
