Your guided boat tour to look for dolphins in their natural habitat starts in Portimão Marina, near Praia da Rocha. Your guide and skipper will give a fast safety briefing before taking off. The dolphin watching tour we offer is a must do in Lagos for the whole family.

The boat will leave the Marina and you’ll sail towards the open sea. You’ll pass by the Arade river, Ferrgudo and its castle on the way. You’ll be accompanied by a local guide who will be able to tell you the stories of the Algarve and take you to the best spots to find the dolphins.

When the skipper finds the right spot, keep your eyes open to find the dolphins! They often come by the boat and play with the waves. A true show! After some time sailing close to them, the skipper will take the boat back to the Marina.

The trip will last about 1h30m to 2h. Please notice that these dolphins are wild creatures and it is not guaranteed that we will see them. However, our crew is very experienced and knows exactly where to find them, with a success rate of 99%.

What should I wear?

We recommend you to wear something that can be wet, because this is a possibility. Also, although the sun is hot, the wind on the boat can be very cold, so bring a jacket.

Can we swim with the dolphins?

The dolphins we are going to see are free and wild creatures, and although they like the company, they are not used to swim with people. So we are going to respect their privacy and watch them from the boat.
