McLaren Vale is rightly a famous wine region and is growing into a gourmet hub, and is an ideal day trip from Adelaide. Rolling vineyards that drop down to sandy beaches and the mighty Southern Ocean over the horizon, with a tasty shiraz and cheese platter to savour.

You will be picked up in central Adelaide approx 9am and transferred to the start point, where you will be fitted out with a good quality bike and helmet.

The cycling in McLaren Vale is fun and relatively easy. You will cover around 25-30kms with optional add on rides. It’s great fun. You will cycle the Shiraz Rail Trail and quiet back country roads in and around the scenic vineyards of McLaren Vale. Your guide will point out some of the best cellar doors and we can stop at these for tastings.

An exclusive lunch stop is included, where you will enjoy a special platter of local produce. A little bit of cycling after lunch and perhaps a stop at another cellar door to finish off a fun day of cycling, wildlife spotting (keep an eye out for koalas!), scenery and wine tastings. The bus will meet you, collect the bikes and head back to Adelaide.
