From Lisbon: Private Tour To Coimbra University And Roman City Of Conimbriga

We will leave Lisbon early in the morning to enjoy the full day, arriving Coimbra will take us around 2 hours, a small coffee brake (10 min) in the way will be done.

Arriving Coimbra, we will visit the historical university, one of the oldest in the world, with the beautiful Joanine Library in Baroque style from beginning of 18th century.

The tour will continue to center of Coimbra and to the Monastery of Santa Clara, the rest place of our First King D. Afonso Henriques. The monastery was founded in 1131, but completely reconstructed in first half of 16th.

In Coimbra will be the time as well for lunch and for free time.

In the afternoon, we will visit the large Roman Archaeological Site, of Conimbriga city, a developed from the 1st to 3rd centuries. It is well known due to the conservation status and by the existing mosaics and classified as National Monument since 1910. it makes you travel back to previous eras…
