From Podgorica: National Parks And Lakes Of Montenegro

Meet your local guide in Podgorica and then head towards the Morača canyon.

Take the road and cross the splendid canyon of Morača to arrive at the Morača Monastery. You will discover a monastery which was for more than seven centuries the center of historical and cultural events in the region. It contains important frescoes, the most famous of which is “The crow feeds St. Ilija”.

Continue your road towards the National Park of “Biogradska gora”. Discover this National Park also called “the last jungle of Europe” containing a unique natural wealth. Take the path around the lake and walk freely in the primary forest of the Park known for the purity of its water.

Take the road to follow the Tara River and reach the second deepest canyon in the world. You will discover the impressive Đurđevića Tara Bridge and take a stroll over it to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the canyon.

Then head to Black Lake, hidden below the peaks of Durmitor rising more than 2,000 meters above sea level. Stroll around the lake then return to Podgorica.
