Come and live Madeiras history. Starting from the hotel reception we make our way to Camacha the wickerwork factory, the village where football was played for the very first time the famous folk dancing was founded by the population and visit our modern church dedicated to Saint Lourence, passing the Eucalyptus and Mimosa forests unto the breathtaking mountains of Pico do Arieiro at 1800m above sea level when the sky is clear one will be prefunded by the surrounding nature and its historical geological history, descending to Ribeiro Frio where you will find the trout hatchery and the Santana UNESCO BIOSPHERE RESERVE know in Portuguese as the Laurissilva (laurel forest) our own world heritage, covered by gigantic vegetation and kilometres of water channels paths. Taking the old road of Faial, Santana will be the next stop where you will find the traditional thatched houses and vines. A longer stop for lunch will be given. Along the North coast sugar cane terraces are still visible. We then leave the North unto the Southeast coast the old capital of Madeira Machico where the first Portuguese settlers arrived in the 15 century. The next stop is at Ponta de São Lourenço the eastern point cape of the Island where the rock formation will astound you, return to hotel.
