Our guides have many years experience guiding in Nepal, and also Tibet and Bhutan. Most of them have been spent years exploring the country. They are trained in first aid and know how to handle most situations that are likely to arise. All our guides speak fluent English and are happy to share their deep knowledge and love of our country and people with you. We believe in, and follow the idea that it’s not enough to take visitors to special places or special cultures only- we like to provide guides who can offer experiences where people feel actively involved in their travel adventures, are entertained, informed and have a richer and more memorable experience of their time with us. HSA is prepared for any emergency situation and knows how to handle it. Our guides are trained in first aid and can deal with most of the basic issues that are likely to occur during a trek, plus we provide back-up support for any further medical services. Every guest should have their own travel insurance before coming to Nepal to cover any contingencies. Altitude sickness is a serious issue. HSA has many years of experience in trekking and understanding how to ease guests into their adventure experience. An extra day of acclimatization is included in all our high altitude treks, and our guides are trained to spot any signs of altitude sickness and know how to deal with it. Private rooms are available in most Tea Houses except for high altitudes ones, and most bathrooms are shared. Many Tea Houses have running water facilities for bathing and washing. The difficulty of each trek depends on the region where the trek is taking place, the altitude and its duration. Shorter treks tend to be easier while longer ones require fair physical fitness.
