This day tour in the Douro Valley invites you to experience the local products that the region has to offer at a leisurely pace that blends in with the serenity of the landscape. If you enjoy relaxed days this is the ideal visit for you!

The visit will start with a tasting of AOC wines of a small producer in a modern space in the city of Régua. It’s also here that you will enjoy a light lunch, of a modern and vibrant cuisine, sided with the wines of the same producer.

After, you follow to Pinhão, a small and picturesque town, where you will embark on a relaxing cruise on the Douro River. Your day will end in an estate, overlooking this village, while you taste some Port wines, with a modern twist, enjoying the fantastic scenery that this region has to offer.

We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous day in the Douro Valley with our guide Violeta! We opted for the relaxed version of the trip and it was lovely. Violeta was great fun, full of interesting facts about the region, wine, history, she was great! We had a delicious lunch with wine tasting, a wonderful boat ride and an unforgettable trip to the vineyards with spectacular views, a port cocktail & tawny port tasting. Book this now! We had a great day on this tour. Bruno was an excellent guide. He had great energy all day. Nice visits with the two wineries we visited. Very educational and our first wine tour was especially good. The owner and his wife toured us through the 300+ year old winery and had an excellent tasting. It was all well done, including the boat ride.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in the Douro valley region led by our lovely guide Raquel. Our group was a nice mix of six Americans, one Brit and one Finn. I think the tour was nicely structured with a pit stop after the initial drive and an enjoyable lunch with copious wine! The visits to the wineries were great without any force selling. The local guides were great. Special mention has to go to Raquel - she was very informative and approachable and did her best to break the ice in the group which was never a problem after the wine tasting started! Her knowledge of the wine production was extensive and it was great to get the insight before tasting the wine. Overall, a great day out in an astonishingly beautiful region!
