Short Everest Base Camp treks offer an amazing view of highest peak Mount Everest and some other great view of mountains. This trek route to Everest rises from 3000 meters to 5545m at Kalapather. This trek is 10 days trek from Lukla to Lukla, Experience the unique culture, Landscape, and breathtaking view of Himalayas.
Start your trek from Lukla (2,642m/8,668ft), after a 35-minute Mountain flight from Kathmandu. You will start a short trekking up to Phakding which is approximate 3-4 hours a day. And the next day, Trek to Namche Bazar, it is also known as the capital of Khumbu valley. This valley offers all kinds of facilities and accommodation for the trekkers and mountaineers. In case, if you have forgotten any trekking gears for the trekking, you can do final minute shopping.As you climb up, you will pass through beautiful villages like Tengbuche, Dingbuche, Lobuche and finally Goraksheep. At the Same Day, You will hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,600m), Observe the Khumbu Ice fall, and get way to the Everest summit. Next Early morning, another wonderfull morning greets an epic Sunrise and 360 degree panoramic views of Everest (8,848m/29,028ft) and other peaks.
You will return back to the Lukla the way same way which is quicker and easier. This trek can be done all around the year. However autumn and springs known as the peak season for Everest Base Camp.
Outline of Itinerary :
Day 1: Kathmandu to Lukla 2810m by flight and trek to Phakding 2600m / 30min flight / 3hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 2: Phakding to Namche 3460m / 6hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 3: Namche to Tengboche 3867m / 5hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 4: Tengboche to Dingboche 4450m / 5.5hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 5: Acclimitization day rest and hike to Nangakartshang 5000m / 5hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 6: Dingboche to Lobuche 4900m / 4hrs walk / Overnight at mountain lodge
Day 7: Lobuche to Gorakshep 5150m and visit Everest Base Camp 5365m / 3hrs to Lobuche- Gorakshep / 3.5hrs Gorakshep-Ebc-Gorakshep / Overnight at mountain lodge
