Walk through its new city center and discover its stone bridge “Kameni Most” which divides the city into two parts with the old Ottoman bazaar “Čaršija”.

Čaršija is the old Ottoman town on the hillside, evoking the city’s past with its winding alleys filled with tea rooms, mosques, artisan shops and museums. Čaršija connects the stone bridge to Bit Pazar, the large vegetable and household goods market.

Discover the Art Bridge, a pedestrian bridge located over the Vardar River in the center of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The bridge has many statues of many Macedonian artists and musicians.

Visit of its fortress “Tvrdina Kale”. Brightly lit at night and overlooking the Vardar with its imposing walls, this fortress offers an unobstructed view of the whole city. Designated under the Turkish name of kale meaning “fortress” by the locals, it dates back to Antiquity. Partly destroyed by the earthquake of 1963, it has since been restored.
