Sintra Tour + Horse Carriage Tour

We started the tour with the visit of the Quinta da Regaleira, built between 1904 and 1910, based on the imagination of its owner, António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, and the architect responsible for the project, Luigi Maninicom. After lunch, visit the National Palace of Sintra, which was built in the 15th century, with medieval, Gothic, Renaissance and romantic architecture. The Sintra National Palace was a stronghold of the Portuguese Royal Family until the year 1910.

At the end of the Tour, a small snack will be served at “A Piriquita” Pastry, where you will taste the famous Pasteis de Sintra. The house was founded in 1862, about 160 years ago. In the 1940s, while much of the World was shattered, a new treasure was born in Sintra. Constância Luísa Cunha, the founder’s daughter, developed the Pillow, a cake filled with egg candy and an almond-shaped touch, but with the secret so well kept that only the direct family has access to the recipe of the filling.
