This tour is all about the food! We go in search of some of the best food and drink Lisbon has to offer. You will learn what locals eat, where they eat and when they eat… Come hungry and prepare to be surprised!
Try cheese, Port, coffee & custard tart, cherry liquor, beer, codfish cake & much more, and then finish your tour in style with a light meal in a beautiful setting!

- What Will You Do
Our tour starts at 5 p.m. in the Commercial Square by the Tagus River, with a brief introduction to Portuguese cuisine, where we have our first tasting of the afternoon, the famous Ginginha, a liquor made from Morello cherries and brandy, served in a chocolate cup.From the Commercial Square we go up Augusta Street and soon we reach a fantastic bakery where we have a cup of strong Portuguese coffee with a delicious pastry, and learn the rich history of Portuguese coffee and conventual sweets.
We continue to explore the Baixa neighbourhood and stop for more surprising tastings along the way, and then we go up towards Chiado and Bairro Alto (upper quarter), where we see the very first place to serve espressos in Lisbon, and still one of the city’s most famous cafes.
Soon after, we have a taste of Gorreana Portuguese Tea, which is grown in the beautiful island of S. Miguel, in the Azores, and is one of the few teas produced in Europe and we explore the famous Bairro Alto, the heart of Lisbon’s night life, with its many restaurants, bars and cafes.
After a few more unexpected tastings in beautiful historical establishments, we finish our tour by having a delicious light meal in a very special place, a 17th-century palace that was once one of Lisbon’s first Casinos.
