Šibenik is a city with a population of about 46,000 in Croatia, in north Dalmatia. It's most famous for its Saint James Cathedral, which is on the UNESCO World heritage list. Almost a trademark of the city is the traditional šibenik hat, coloured orange and black, the city's colours. The inventor of the parachute and the first man to use it, Faust Vrancic, was born here and lived here throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. Famous basketball player Dražen Petrović, as well as Maksim Mrvica, a piano player, were born here.
