Considered one of the oldest cities in North America and with more than half a million inhabitants, Quebec is the name of the city and is the capital of the Canadian province of the same name. Known as Ville de Québec in French, or Quebec City in English, it is the perfect example of French colonization in Canada. Québec's main language is French, but many people also speak English and, after all, the two languages ​​blend.

Founded in 1608, Quebec has some very peculiar characteristics, such as the fact that it has almost 5 km of walls around it and have been the scene of the decisive confrontation between the English and the French. It is situated on the banks of the river Saint-Laurent (St Lawrence) and grew under a cliff. The old part of Quebec, Vieux-Québec or Old Quebec, is a historic area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is divided into two parts: Upper Town (Upper Town) and Lower Town (Basse-Ville - Lower Town), which are connected by a funicular and by land.
