Zlarin, otra isla en el archipiélago de Sibenik con poco menos de 300 residentes permanentes y un área de cerca de 9 kilómetros cuadrados. Es la tercera isla más grande del archipiélago ubicada a solo 1.5 millas de la costa en el canal Sibenik.

La isla es conocida por su tradición de cosechar corales rojos y joyas de coral hechas a mano. Aunque la industria está en declive en la actualidad, aún se pueden comprar corales en varias galerías de joyería / souvenirs y tiendas.

La isla fue habitada originalmente desde los tiempos de Iliria y Roma, sin embargo, similar a otras islas vecinas en el Archipiélago, Zlarin fue históricamente propiedad de las familias nobles y terratenientes de Sibenik. Los actuales colonos de la isla del único pueblo de la isla, Zlarin, llegaron allí en el siglo XIII para trabajar en olivares, higos y viñedos de la isla.

Debido a su hermosa naturaleza y paisajes atractivos, así como a las frecuentes conexiones de ferry con tierra firme, Zlarin es popular como destino de fin de semana y verano para visitantes extranjeros y locales de las áreas circundantes.

Como los automóviles no están permitidos en la isla, que tiene numerosas bahías y una costa virgen, Zlarin es un gran lugar para visitar en primavera u otoño para hacer excursiones a pie o pescar desde Sibenik o Vodice.

After I made the booking online, nobody ever reached out to me to confirm the upcoming event. Usually, a day or two before such a tour, somebody will send an e-mail stating that the tour is going to occur soon and to review the meeting place and time. I would expect Experitour to do that since they were the company that received my online booking information. When I eventually contacted the Vintage Car Tour company, they initially had no record of my reservation. They were eventually able to find it, but I had to remind them that I went through Experitour. Not sure whose fault that was. These are minor details, but they prevent me from providing a 5-star review."
