The famous bookshop is practically a work of art.

A building built in 1906, in neo-Gothic style, Livraria Lello e Irmão, which is considered by many to be the most beautiful bookshop in Europe. Inside, the many older details create an environment capable of bringing us back to the past. It is also a famous destination for having inspired the writer J. K. Rowling when creating the Harry Potter book series, while living in Porto.

2. Luis I Bridge

The Luiz I Bridge, is a great metallic bridge, built between the years 1881 and 1888, connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia separated by the river Douro.  It is said to have been inspired by the Eiffel tower style, once the engineers of the bridge and the tower had worked together before. In any case, it is a stunning bridge that completes the setting of Porto. The crossing can be done easily from above or below, we recommend you do both ways to enjoy the whole structure and the beautiful landscape.

 

 

3. Douro River

The Douro is a river that rises in the peaks of the Serra de Urbión, in Spain and crosses the north of Portugal until its mouth in the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It is the third longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. Navigating these waters is definitely a unique experience.

4. Historical Center
