Chapada Diamantina: Day-Trip To Mosquito Waterfall And Muritiba Park

From Lençóis, we will continue to Fazenda Santo Antônio. From there, we will follow a trail of approximately 3 km, in a 35-minute walk, until we reach the beautiful Mosquito Waterfall. The name refers to the small diamonds that have already been found in the region.

The waterfall has a waterfall of 50 meters high that, in addition to providing several places for bathing, is also conducive to rappelling. After bathing in the waterfall, we will have lunch at the farm’s headquarters for some excellent typical food.

After resting in the hammock under the jackfruit, we will return to Lençóis to visit one of the most famous spots on the outskirts of the city: Parque da Muritiba, which is within the city of Lençóis. There we will visit the river that gave the city its name and the various waterfalls that it forms. The trail is quiet and includes several attractions, such as the Serrânio Natural Pools, Cachoeirinha, Cachoeira da Primavera, Poço Halley.

Perfect attractions for invigorating baths, beautiful photos and contemplation of nature. In addition, we will also visit the famous Salon of Colored Sands, with its varied colors of sand and caves. In the final stretch, we will arrive at a viewpoint with panoramic views of the city, from where it is possible to see over the entire path made within the park. At the end of the trail circuit, we will walk back to the center of Lençóis.
