Évora Private Tour Starting From Lisbon

Arriving in Évora, we are welcomed by Praça do Giraldo, the lively center of the city, full of architectural styles, from the Moorish arches aligned in the Giraldo Square, passing by the fountains of the Renaissance, to the Gothic Church of San Francisco.

Take the opportunity to sit on one of the terraces and eat a regional sweet, while you feel the life of the Alentejo people passing by.

We then proceed to one of Portugal’s greatest landmarks, the Roman Temple, better known as the Temple of Diana. Its powerful facade, with 14 well-preserved granite columns, makes those who see it for the first time in awe.

To those who are not easily impressed we suggest a visit to the Chapel of the Bones, for some it is a shady place, for others a fascinating space, constituted by hundreds of skulls and skeletons coming from about 5000 monks of century XVI.

There are still two bodies of children intact, exposed in the Chapel, so it is not advised to visit more sensitive people.
