Will I go inside the Benagil caves?
Yes! Kayaking is one of the few possible ways to go and stay inside the cave for a while and you can stop and relaxe inside de famous Benagil cave.
Can I take my personal belongings?
Yes. Each kayak has a water-resistant compartment around 20x15 cm for you to keep your belonging inside, but you also can ask the guide to take it with him.
Are the kayaks double?
Yes. All our kayaks are double, but you can take one alone if you prefer.
Is it safe?
It is very safe! We are the only company with support boats and lifeguards on board. The tour will just go on if the ocean conditions are good for this activity.
Will I get tired?
Probably not! This tour is light and, even if you get tired, our support boat will give you some help.
Is there parking at the meeting point?
Yes. There is free parking at the meeting point. In the summer it can get full, so please arrive early.
What happens if the weather is bad on the booked date?
If the kayak tour is cancelled due to weather related conditions, we will try to reschedule. If not possible, your payment is refunded.
Can I reach the meeting point by public transportation?
Yes. You can travel to Lagoa by BUS or to Estômbar by train. Then you must take a taxi or Uber until the beach. This last part is about 10 minutes drive so it will not be expensive.
What is the minimum age?
Minimum age is 5 years old.

It was an exciting tour with beautiful caves, although rowing in the ocean is a very difficult job. Cao, our guide was very nice and spoke english. I recommend it on a sunny day!:)

We arrived at the beach to meet our guides and, with a fairly large group, entered the water (with great assistance from the crew). There are two people per kayak and they are stable and easy to paddle. It turns out it is a fair paddle to the final destination so you will need a reasonable level of fitness. The tow back by the support boat was appreciated. There are a few stops on the way to the Benagil cave. It was somewhat chaotic when we arrived (around midday) with boats, kayaks and swimmmers going everywhere. The beauty of the kayaks is you get out within the cave itself, those on the boats could not do this. If you want to get the sort of photos you see in the brochures you must have to get to the cave very early in the morning.
