From Lisbon: Half-Day Tour In Sintra & Quinta Da Regaleira

Come and visit the home of Kings and Queens, scientists and secret organisations and get lost in their story with us. After a short 40-minute train ride from our meeting point in central Lisbon, Rossio square, you’ll get to the’glorious Garden of Eden’, as would say Lord Byron. It is our aim during this half-day tour to show you why it deserves this name.

We will guide you through the winding streets of the town, sampling golden pastries and enjoying breathtaking views along the way, and learning about Sintra’s history of glowing goddesses of the moon, ancient dinosaurs and rich courtesans.

Once we are in the heart of the town, we will head to the main attraction- the fantastic and mythical Quinta da Regaleira, famous not just for its gorgeous manor house but for the labyrinth-like gardens weaved around it. You will descend into the open maw of the initiation well and navigate the powerful stone tunnels beneath, climb towers worthy of princesses and explore grottoes of Greek mythology.

You will leave our tour laden with knowledge of the freemasons and templar knights of Portugal, brimming with the peace you found and, most importantly, bestowed with the magic Sintra. After the tour ends you are free to spend the afternoon however you choose, but we guarantee you will want to stay and explore Sintra and its other palaces some more!
