In this tour, we will visit some places that are not usually known by most of the tourists who visit us. They are places of nature in their most primitive state and excellent reasons for photography. In this tour, we will visit some places that are not usually known by most of the tourists who visit us. They are places of nature in their most primitive state and excellent reasons for photography.

The weather conditions are an important factor in this tour, therefore, alternatives are available to the Ponta Delgada – Nordeste route.

If you are coming by cruise ship, the duration of this tour is adapted to the length of stay on the island, always ensuring the return to the ship in a timely and safe. The return to Ponta Delgada will be done along the North coast.

- What Will You Do

1. Lombadas. Nature in its purest state. Place of incredible beauty cut by a small stream.
2. Salto do Cavalo. A privileged viewpoint over the Furnas valley and village of Povoação.
3. Ribeira dos Caldeirões. A park with reference to several waterfalls and old water mills transformed in ethnographic museums.
4. Nordeste. A village proud of its gardens and a special reference to the lighthouse of Arnel, the 1st working in the archipelago in the year 1876. This lighthouse can be visited on Wednesday from 14:00 to 17:00. (Requires a walk in section with steep slope, approx 500m)
5. Lookout point of Ponta do Sossego. A view over the Atlantic Ocean trimmed by the rugged slopes of the island, all integrated into a well care and wonderful garden full of flowers.
