After pick up from your accommodation in a classic Volkswagen T2 van, set out on a 4-hour nature tour to explore this history and heritage of the Algarve coast.
Your trip will be punctuated with history and local knowledge, and since there’s no rush, there will be plenty of time to explore the places you’ll visit.
Your first stop will be at Menhirs of Padrão and Milrei, which are dated from the 4th millennium BC. Then head to the southern-most point of the Algarve, where dreams of new worlds were turned into reality by Portuguese sailors 500 years ago.
After a walk around this important monument, you will then proceed to the end of the world as it was known for ancient civilizations, the southwestern-most point of the Algarve: The Cape of Saint Vicente. Here you’ll be able to admire the spectacular views out over the open ocean.
On the return trip, you’ll stop at Salema Beach to see the dinosaur footprints lying on one of the most spectacular beaches of the Algarve, then continue the trip back to your accommodation.
