This tour can start either from the southwest in Ribeira Brava or from the southeast Ponta de São Lourenço, depending on the pick-up location. Departing from Ribeira Brava the first stop will be at Cabo Girão. Amazing view standing on the glass floor platform at 580 meter high makes this one of the most visited lookout points on the island.
Continue on to Câmara de Lobos, the fishermen’s village that made popular the scabbard fish dish and an inspirational place for Winston Churchill’s paintings. The next stop on this cultural journey is Garajau. Here you can find a replica of the Christ statue.
Afterwards head towards Machico to stop at a viewpoint to see the first place the Portuguese settlers arrived in 1419. The last or the first stop of this tour (depending on your pick-up location) will be at Ponta de São Lourenço at Caniçal, a peninsula that features the eastern point of Madeira with stunning views towards the cliffs on the north coast.
