Great tour to see Tuscany in a day

★★★★ Reviewed by Malcolm on 2018-07-27
This is an excellent tour covering 3 places which are distances apart. The chief tour guide Lorenzo was a total gentleman, friendly and constantly checking as to our needs and satisfaction. I would have given 5 stars but for the fact that the time provided at San Gimignano was too short. It should have been at least 20-30 min more to get a reasonable view of a beautiful medieval town. Also, to manage to have Gelato at what is claimed to be the best Gelato in the world... you guessed it.. there's a long line! Nonetheless, I would strongly recommend this tour as it covers Pisa, San Gimignano and also Siena.

a very pleasant day trip, cant fault the experience well organized family friendly tour even on a wet april day, san gimignano walk is like stepping back in time.. top food tip if visiting san gimignano try riccapizza - omg!! best pizza ever had margherita and gelato from galetria dondoli. the lunch and wine tour was also nice kids loved pasta and antipasti served. this is an absolute bargain day trip tour!! ok now here are my tips when travelling with kids (age 10 - 12) btw kids go free for this age even lunch!!.. lunch and wine tour is 2pm ish..most toilets are 80cents/person to spend a penny so condition your bladders!... there are some steep climbs.. plan the specific places where you want to visit so you dont waste time walking aimlessly as not all part of this tour are guided... everywhere is standard 1 euro price for a shot of espresso.

The leaning tower was a must see, however Sienna was the highlight of the tour. The “wine tasting” and lunch sounds good on the flyer but was not worth the detour. A lot to see with some time to walk around to get an impression of the sights but not enough to get lost and explore. You get what you can expect. Enjoy!
