Via Ferrata Tour In Omiš, Croatia

Via Ferrata Omiš is positioned above the old city of Omiš, which is a 45 minute drive from Split. This Via Ferrata is 400m long and takes you up 250m. Following a dramatic limestone ridge, the end point is Fortica, a historic 13th century fort (310m). From here you have great view over Omiš, the Adriatic and the stunning river Cetina canyon. This Via Ferrata is fully equipped with steel wire safety rope and iron steps to provide a safe and easy climb.

We will pick you up from Split city centre and drive south to Omiš. From there we start our hike up to the via ferrata route. Your mountain guide will do a safety talk and briefing, and assist you into the climbing equipment. We have a 10 minute hike up a steep mountain trail, which leads us to a small chapel and the via ferrata start.
At this point your guides will take you through a further safety briefing and training on how to use via ferrata equipment, and you are ready to set off on this great adventure. Your breath will be swept away as you follow the ridge, and you’re surrounded by scenes of nature. On the left side you have the pristine Cetina river, on the right picturesque Omiš, the river delta and the sparkling Adriatic.
You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings before heading back down the south slopes to the welcoming city of Omiš. Transport at the bottom will take us back to Split.
