Welcome to Sliema
Sliema is a tourist town on the east coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta. The seafront has a long promenade and Fort Tigné, a strong 18th century polygonal. The Baroque-inspired Stella Maris church dates back to the 1950s. The St. Julian's Tower is a 17th century watchtower and battery. On the small Manoel Island is the Forte Manoel, built by the Knights of St. John, and the Lazaretto, a former hospital of the seventeenth century.
