Teixeira's River

One of the hottest canyoning sections in Portugal. This River runs close to the village of S.João da Serra (in the region of Oliveira de Frades).

This is an awesome quite vertical section, having, among others, two spectacular waterfalls – 20 and 30 mts high – which we’ll have to overcome abseiling. Plenty of jumps to beautiful pools. Lots of down-climbing to do in granite and shale… At the end there’s a technical abseil with an apotheotic jump to the "Caldeirão“ (Cauldron)!
