Day 1 :
Drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Chitwan
Drive to Chitwan (Suraha) by Tourist bus, it will take about 5-6 hrs. A representative from hotel in chitwan will welcome you at the bus station and transfer to the hotel.
Welcome drink and briefing about the accommodation and the facilities are provided. After lunch, the manager will brief you on the program. The tour starts with an afternoon visit to the Tharu village and the National Park Visitor’s Center.

Day 2 :
Full day Jungle activities in Chitwan National Park
Dugout canoe trip followed by a Nature Walk Program. After refreshment you can wash the elephants and swim with them in the Rapti River, Lunch. Elephant back safari, Dinner.

- What Will You Do

The Chitwan National Park (CNP) is a world heritage property, and it also contains a Ramsar Site – Beeshazari Tal in its buffer zone. The Chitwan National Park has a history of over 3 decades in park management and a rich experience in resolving conflicts between the park and the people. It is a rich natural area in the Terai, the subtropical southern part of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.

- What To Expect

Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers or Slide show presentation on almost everything under the Chitwan.
Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing View.
Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.

How to get Chitwan ? What to Bring?
By Road: Around 4-5hrs Drive from Kathmandu and Pokhara. Around 5hrs Drive from Nepal India Boarder called Sunauli. By Flight from Kathmandu 30 minnutes. Being a forest area you are advised to bring a few dark coloured clothes for jungle activities, otherwise you can dress the way you want according to the weather. Apart from a wardrobe you are advised to bring Sun Hats, Sun Block, Insect Repellants, Flashlights, Cameras, Binoculors, Sun Glasses and whatever else you might deem necessary.
