This unique outdoor excursion takes you to hidden salt mines, dramatic white-sand beaches with turquoise sea and vibrant Santa Maria neighbourhoods full of colour and originality. Start in the morning and head to the bike shop near the Santa Maria Pier at the designated start time. Before setting off, your guide will get you a helmet and any other accessories you might need and offer a informative introduction to the intuitive and very easy use of the electric bike. Fit with pedals and a small motor to assist you move forward, this modern cruiser bike travels up to 30 km/h and allows you to see more of Sal in less time and less effort.

We went on this trip with our teenage son. We had so much run. The trip was lengthy so good value for money. Our tour guide Ibrahim, was friendly, helpful and courteous. He took us through the town, over the coastline, then took a walk up a mountain. Couldn’t fault this trip. Would be happy to do again. I’ve been on bicycle tours before where I couldn’t keep up but with the motor boost, it took away any pain from being unfit.

There were just 3 of us and our guide, Caciano. Mum hadn't been on a bike for years and was very nervous but Caciano was very patient and understanding and helped her gain some confidence. My son is 11 and about 4'8'' and was just tall enough for the bike, and this was by far his best trip of the holiday. He has not stopped telling everybody about this trip and his Granny is now called Turbo Gran. The tour was altered slightly to take account of our abilities/confidence levels which made us all enjoy the trip immensely. Would highly recommend this guided tour, it was so much fun and very informative too. Thanks Caciano.

Ibrahim is the man!! Very nice guy and know’s what he is doing. The bicyclet is great. Is good te do with small kids. We did it with oure 4 year. Even he like the trip. Same sandy ore stone roads no worry. Go here and see more off the island than sun en beer.

We enjoy cycling but the wind, ever present in Cape Verde and stronger at this time of year, made electric bikes a very good option. Add to that an excellent guide, Cociano, and we had a brilliant circular tour of the southern end of Sal, starting and finishing in Santa Maria. Good bikes. Good value.
