The journey officially starts from a scenic ride from Kathmandu to Soti Khola. The trekking journey further from Maccha khola will leave you awestruck with the natural wonders. Admire the very first glimpse of Manaslu, Himal Chuli (7893m) and Nagdi Chuli (7871m) as you trek forward passing through lush forests of Pine and blossoming rhododendron, cascading waterfalls and crossing suspension bridge over Budi Gandaki River.

Walk past quaint villages of Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Lho and Samagaun experiencing the warm hospitality of locals. Get a peek into the perfect blend of Tibetan and Nepalese culture as you stay in tea houses for overnight.

Enjoy acclimatization day in Samagaun as you spend the day on your own exploring nearby Birendra Tal, Pungyen Gompa and sipping your tea/coffee, applauding the marvelous views of World’s 8th highest mountain peak, Manaslu. Summit Larkya la on the 11th day of the trek and lay your eyes on the panorama of Himlung, Cheo, Kanggru and the Annapurna.

The trek back from Larkya La to Bhimtang is made worthwhile by the captivating views of Mansalu throughout the way. The journey that started from Soti Khola ends in Besisahar after completely enclosing Mount Manaslu. The best season for this trek is March, April, May, September, October and November.

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu (1400m) to Sotikhola (700m) Duration: 9 hours
The journey starting from a scenic ride through highway shops, lush forest, villages together with the views of highland hills above your head and tranquil flowing Trishuli River on the right side of your bus seat leads you to the village called Soti Khola.

Day 2: Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (869m) Duration: 6 hours
The trekking journey finally starts today as you walk along the river bank before crossing the suspension bridge over the gushing Budi Gandaki River. The walk from here onwards is mostly through lush Pine forests. From Khursane the trail changes to rocky cliffs that pass through cascading waterfalls until you reach the Gurung village, Labubesi. Descending the way through sandy river bed, crossing suspension bridge the walk continues along the winding mountain path to the village of Maccha Khola. Tea house accommodation

Day 3: Maccha Khola to Jagat (1340m) Duration: 6 hours
With an early morning breakfast, stretch your leg towards, Jagat. Following the course of Budi Gandaki River and crossing the suspension bridge, today’s trail is almost ascending and descending many ridges simultaneously at times making your way to Thado varyang. From Thado varyang the walk is almost same, as you cross the river, climb ridges and walk along the bank making your way to Jagat for overnight.

Day 4: Jagat to Deng (1860m) Duration: 6 hours
The trail continues with the rocky ridges until you reach Sirdibas. Making your way from Ghatte Khola, cross the suspension bridge and continue your walk towards the Gurung village, Philim. The trail continues through the millet and grassy fields through a bamboo forest to Deng Khola. After crossing the river, you make your stop for overnight in the tiny village of Deng.

Day 5: Deng to Namrung (2630m) Duration: 5 hours
Leaving Deng behind with easy walk, crossing suspension bridge, you finally climb the ridge to reach Rana. The trail from here onwards passes through painted Mani stones and forest area. Taking the trail through Prok village, follow the river, pass through forests with the captivating views of Siring Himal along the way making your way to Namrung village. Tea house accommodation

Day 6: Namrung to Lho (2957m) Duration: 4 hours
The steep trail continues to the village of Lihi that offers majestic views of Ganesh Himal. Pass through mani walls, chortens, barely fields and a small village Sho making your way to the landslide prone village, Lho.

Day 7: Lho to Samagaun (3530m) Duration: 4 hours
The trek today is relatively easy and short. Making your way from Shyala, today’s trek will be the most rewarding as you will witness the captivating views of Mount Manaslu and visit the local Ribung monastery.

Day 8: Acclimatization day in Samagaun
A much needed and deserved break!! Let your body adjust to the new altitude today with a day rest. For today you can take a short hike around the village, visit the Birendra Tal and Anie Gompa. You can indulge with the local as you sip a cup of coffee/tea enjoying the views of the mountain vistas.

Day 9: Samagaun to Samdo (3875m) Duration: 3 hours
Today’s trail is lot more about easy walking. The trail passes through lush forests of pine and juniper, pasture lands, Chortens and Mani walls. As you reach Samdo, the soaring Himalayas will welcome you at its best. Tea house accommodation

Day 10: Samdo to Dharmasahala (4460m) Duration: 4 hours
You will be very close to the final destination today. After crossing some streams you can get the sight of breathtaking Larke Glacier. Ascending the way from Larkey bazaar you can get a close encounter with Larke peak and Naike peak until you reach Dharmashala for night stay.

Day 11: Dharmashala to Bhimtang via Larkya La (5135m) Duration: 9 hours
Finally, the summit day is here, trek early in the morning before the weather worsens. Ascending the moraines make your way to the pass. From Larkya la you can witness the eye popping views of the Himlung himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Kuru and Annapurna. Trek down the pass to Bhimtang for overnight stay.

Day 12: Bhimtang to Tilije (2300m) Duration: 5 hours
The trek is now mostly downhill that includes crossing river at times, along with the irresistible views of the Himalayas. Pass through lush forest of blooming rhododendron, terraced fields before you reach the village of Gho. An easy walk from here is your today’s night stop.

Day 13: Trek Tilije to Dharapani (1860m) and Drive to Besisahar (760m) Duration: 8 hours
Trekking on a stone paved trail you will walk past small villages, crossing suspension bridges, making your way to the Annapurna circuit section of the trek from Dharapani. From Dharapani you will take a ride to Besisahar where you will be staying for overnight.

Day 14: Besisahar to Kathmandu Duration: 6 hours
Enjoy the scenic ride passing through terraced fields, villages, highway shop and lush forests. Spend the remaining day on your own. Stroll Thamel area to buy souvenirs that you can take back home.
