The 3 day tour starts from Nairobi to the beautiful Masai Mara, via the incredibly scenic Great Rift Valley – Mai Mahiu Escarpement arriving in Masai Mara in good time for Lunch. After Lunch we embark on an afternoon game drive.
For the next 2 days, will go to visit the various spots in the park including where wildebeest migration takes place across Mara river. The Masai Mara is especially famous for its big cat population and the Great Wildebeest Migration – a wildlife spectacular like none other on earth.
Having experienced a touch of Kenya’s stunning landscapes and rich wildlife we shall end our tour with a visit to Maasai Village so you could experience an authentic culture of the Maasai tribe and buy souvenirs from the Village; after which the short Masai Mara Camping Safari ends back in Nairobi on day three.
- What Will You Do
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai MaraAfter an early Breakfast, a short safari briefing will be conducted then you will depart Nairobi by road heading through the view point of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, a stopover at the great rift valley escapement for viewing, another brief stopover will be at Narok Town, then we head for the park.We are expected at the park gate by 1200Hrs where we shall proceed to the lodge for lunch and check-in. After Lunch, you relax in the lodge until later when we head out for our afternoon game drive searching for the wildlife. We later return to the lodge to enjoy our dinner and overnight at Zebra Plains Camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara – Full Day Game Drives
Arise early and after breakfast, we leave for a full day game drive by 0730hrs with our picnic lunch boxes in hand. We will go to visit the various spots in the park including where wildebeest migration takes place across Mara river. This will be followed with a picnic lunch in the wild. We later head back to the lodge after the afternoon game drive for dinner and overnight at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After an early breakfast around 0600hrs, we head out for our early morning game drive in search of wildlife against the backdrop of the beautiful sunrise. At around 1000Hrs we shall end the game drive with a visit to Maasai Village. Once arrived within the village, you can meet the people, visit a typical Maasai home, learn about Maasai daily life, enjoy dancing and singing displays and visit the community’s own handicrafts market.
After the Village visit we head out of the park for our return journey to Nairobi. We take a short break in Narok town and are expected in Nairobi by 1500hrs where you will check-in for your day room. You will later be transferred to the Airport for your international flight home.
