We always start from the Historic Center of Sintra. On the main square, you will see Vila Palace with its two distinctive cone-shaped chimneys, which are useful landmarks for helping you find your way back to this spot.

After a gentle stroll along the narrow alleys, past shops selling regional products, we suggest a visit to the Palácio and Quinta da Regaleira or Pena Palace located in the top Of Sintra. Sintra, the Moon Hill, is a place full of magic and mystery, where Nature and Man have combined in such a perfect symbiosis that UNESCO has granted it Word Heritage Site status.

After Sintra, we will pass by Colares and we will stop in Roca Cape, the most western point of continental Europe, cliffs are more than 100 metres in height, and cut into crystalline rocks, composed of strongly folded and faulted sedimentary units. These forms are disturbed by dikes and small beaches. This promontory of high beaches is the extreme western immersion of the ancient eruptive Sintra massif.

After Roca Cape We will pass in Guincho, it is considered one of the largest beaches in the country with the highest number of bathers. It is characterized by a strong swell and strong winds and is one of the best beaches for extreme sports.

The last stop is in Cascais. Cascais is a place for an enjoyable day, offering historic buildings, interesting museums and a pretty town center. As for beaches, there are two distinct coastlines; to the east are calm, family friendly beaches, while to the north are the wild and rugged surfing.

In the way back we’ll pass by Estoril, Oeiras and the famous beach of Carcavelos.
