Meet your host for a lunch date in their home.
Go to a market to learn a bit about Dutch ingredients and choose some for your meal.
Prepare a wonderful Dutch brunch together and chat about all things Holland.
Walk five minutes along the river to the dam square and meet your shopping partner.
Gather three gifts with your vouchers in small businesses downtown
After shopping enjoy a small group boat tour of the canals with open bar at your leisure.

Your host will be waiting at their home along the Amstel river for your arrival at noon
Your group will go to the local grocery store in the Rembrandt Square first to learn a bit about local foods as you listen to your host describe some items in the shop. You will also pick out some ingredients to go with your meal. The prices of these are included. After you are back from shopping you will learn the art of Dutch pancake making and what makes them such a staple in the NL. A true comfort food we hope you make at home after your visit.
After your lunch it will be nice to take the short walk to Dam square and meet your shopping guide at the entrance of the New Church. If you prefer you can also take a one-stop tram ride as well, if you have a prepaid city pass its just as easy.
Your walking tour has three vouchers included in the price for three shops downtown to purchase with. Each shop has between 15-20 euro items to choose from and any extra money left over will be donated to our chosen charity.
The shops we have chosen are responsible in their business approach. From sustainability to reintegrated employment schemes these shops represent our ideal souvenirs. An object made of local materials, a memorable professional photograph, and hand designed t-shirt. All locally produced and owned.
We have also included a local dairy treat that is hard to explain but is related to ice cream. (I am sorry but no substitutions will be given for lactose dietary needs.)
After all the shopping which ends at the Anna Frank House, your guide can escort you to the canal cruise or you can join up at your leisure, we will have shown you the departure point already while shopping.
On your cruise you will be in an open small craft eclectic boat skippered and hosted by a Dutch youth yachting club. They love to tell interesting stories about the city and provide an open bar of beer, wine and soft drinks. They have a few routes in the city and small groups of fewer than 35 passengers.
