Silves é uma encantadora cidade fortificada, que já foi a antiga capital do Algarve. Hoje Silves tem um ambiente calmo e pacífico, mas durante a era dos mouros, foi uma grande fortaleza defensiva e importante cidade comercial.

É uma das melhores localizações do Algarve para experimentar o autêntico Portugal e imergir na história envolvente da região.

Os restos deste passado ilustre podem ser vistos enquanto se explora Silves, desde o imenso castelo de tijolos vermelhos, as paredes impregnáveis da cidade, até à catedral gótica que foi construída no local de uma grande mesquita.

A cidade tem uma atmosfera única, sendo muito diferente dos resorts costeiros agitados, e reflete o Algarve antes do boom moderno do turismo de massa. Na zona histórica de Silves, a cidade permaneceu praticamente inalterada durante mais de quinhentos anos, quase sem qualquer sinal de desenvolvimento moderno.

After I made the booking online, nobody ever reached out to me to confirm the upcoming event. Usually, a day or two before such a tour, somebody will send an e-mail stating that the tour is going to occur soon and to review the meeting place and time. I would expect Experitour to do that since they were the company that received my online booking information. When I eventually contacted the Vintage Car Tour company, they initially had no record of my reservation. They were eventually able to find it, but I had to remind them that I went through Experitour. Not sure whose fault that was. These are minor details, but they prevent me from providing a 5-star review."
