Ponta do Sossego Azores

The Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego, also located in Pedreira, a little further down the local road, offers a superb view over the coastal area, but the crown jewel are the well-tended-to gardens: the diversity is remarkable. Tended to all year around, this is undoubtedly the largest and most appreciated of all the municiplaity gardens.
As for the coastal view it is likewise breathtaking: one can spot Fajã do Araújo and Lombo Gordo beach.
This look-out spot is traditionally chosen by families as a picnic area during summer weekends. so many are those who come here during the summer that sometimes it is difficult to find a free fireplace to prepare our meals.
