The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. The route begins in the west and rather than simply intersecting Shira Plateau (like Machame), Lemosho crosses it from Shira RidgetoShira Camp. Climbers encounter low traffic until the route joins the Machame route.
Afterwards, Lemosho follows the same route through Lava Tower, Barranco and Barafu, known as the southern circuit. Lemosho route allowing you to camp and fully appreciate the splendour of your surroundings and the clear night skies. The terrain changes as you ascend the mountain, passing through the thick forest, moorland and scree en route to the highest point of the crater, Uhuru Peak. This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive and well-known mountains in the world. The minimum number of days required for this route is seven days, although eight days is ideal. Lemosho is considered the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. It is our favorite route because it offers a great balance of low traffic, scenic views and a high summit success rate. Thus, Lemosho comes highly recommended.

- What To ExpectOur groups are limited to only 15 climbers. We don’t believe in creating large trekking parties as it detracts from the experience. Keeping the party small creates an intimate setting on the mountain, but more importantly ensures proper attention for each and every climber. Group trips are guaranteed to depart, regardless of the number of climbers. Your trip will never be cancelled, and you will never be asked to pay more, even if you are the only person booked on the climb.
