Our focus is providing you a lifetime experience at the place where we grew up, which is recognized by many as one of the most beautiful and astonishing natural wonders of Portugal. The coastline of Lagoa (Benagil) is known already for decades for its marvelous sea caves, secret beaches and impressive fossilized rock formations, carved through the centuries by the natural forces of mother nature.
The delightful uniqueness of our land made its fame reach all corners of the world, bringing tourism, which has its ups and downs. We’ve seen with our own eyes the deterioration that the big masses can bring to our waters and forests, including the loss of quality by the touristic companies. That’s why we want to invest in a more ECO and familiar tourism, where the impact on our ecosystems will be significantly reduced and as well having a more personal relation with our customers.

Our journey will start at the magnificent Carvalho beach. A small beach totally surrounded and protected by its limestone cliffs where the access is through a tunnel carved by the older generations of the area. From there, you will get your stand up paddle board and depart on an unforgettable ride.
Most time of the year our ocean is flat and as well our boards are extremely stable, so even if it’s your first time there’ll be no trouble standing up on the board. You can also go sitted or kneeled if needed. As well, you will have by your side a skillful guide that will give you all the tips and support so that you feel safe and comfortable in the water. Everyone in our team has grown at the beach surrounded by the newcomers who visit our magical spots, so the ocean is our home as well as everybody is used to interact with different cultures of our world.

From there we will show you the most breathtaking caves, “algars” and natural formations always with one of our guides taking the lead, making sure that everybody is safe and having the most fun. The duration of our expedition is aprox. 2 hours and 30 minutes, where we gonna have time to rest/photos at the most famous cave of Portugal, the “Algar” of Benagil. There, you’re gonna have the chance to feel its mighty energy and relax.
We intend to take small groups on our tours (maximum 10 people), so we can develop a closer relation with you and take sure that everyone has the attention that is needed. Additionally, we will get away from the typical confusion of the high season by doing a route that is way calmer and most of the people don’t know about. One of our main goals is to give you a calm, fun and relaxing experience so you won’t forget Algarve and the BrotheRootz spirit and way of living.

We will finish our journey, once again, at Carvalho beach where you can spend the rest of your day taking sunbaths or swimming. The beach is part of one the most famous trails of Europe the “Seven Hanging Valleys” where you can enjoy an outstanding hike and explore the rest of the coastline by foot.
