The journey will head down through the Laurissilva Forest, house for protected birds and endemic species, with Ribeiro Frio at its center. Continue this marvelous day by arriving at Santana for lunch. After the meal, it will be time to see the iconic thatched rooftop houses and then leave the capital of the north behind arriving shortly after at Porto da Cruz. Here, visit one of the two still operating sugar cane factories in Madeira. Driving through Machico, arrive at Caniçal, the driest place in Madeira for another complete change of scenery. When the tour reaches its end, you’ll drive back to the hotel.
