Antigua Guatemala: Tours & Experiences
Have you ever been to Antigua Guatemala?
Antigua is a small city surrounded by volcanoes in southern Guatemala. It is known for the Spanish Colonial buildings, many of which were restored after an earthquake in 1773, which ended the 200 year reign of Antigua as the colonial capital of Guatemala. The most notable architectural examples include the Baroque church La Merced, a low, yellow and white church, which participates in the city's famous Semana Santa, a week with parades and rituals.
