Praia do Carvalho

Showing 1-8 from 9 tours

Have you ever been to Praia do Carvalho?

Praia do Carvalho got its name because, according to the locals, it was privately owned by a captain whose nickname was Carvalho.
It has a beach of reasonable dimensions in the shape of a shell, surrounded by the cliff in its totality.
In the West zone there is a cave. About 65 meters from the coast, an island is built.
The access is made through a staircase built in two tunnels inside the cliff, making it one of the most exotic beaches in Portugal.

What People Are Saying

"Rita is a great guide 👍🏻 We Love it !!!"
"Let me start by saying that I recommend the GUIDED tour over this tour 100%. The guide will bring you in caves and places you wouldn't go alone. Also, depending on if there are a lot of waves on the day of your tour, it is hard to get into Benagil cave so I would definitely recommend doing a guided tour. We had a hard time finding where to meet the guide to get the kayak for this excursion. When you park at the Marinha beach parking, there are a few fruits/drink carts. Go to the RED cart and ask for the experitour guide. There are no indications that it is there, you just have to know. If there is nobody there, the guide might already be down at the beach. The kayaks are stored under the restaurant so stay close to the restaurant until the guide gets there. We had a blast and would definitely recommend this tour. "
"Makkelijk via de website te reserveren. Vriendelijke mensen, komen hun afspraken na. Goede kajak en peddels. Je krijgt een waterdichte tas mee voor je sleutels en telefoon. Na een korte uitleg word je in het water begeleid. Super mooi om dit vanaf het water te mogen ontdekken. "
"Wonderfull experiência. Recomended to everybody"
"We had a great time sea kayaking with #experitours. Really easy to book online, with a quick response. They texted details and were waiting for us at entrance to the beach. Very friendly staff who helped us launch into the sea. It was a little choppy at times but great fun exploring the coast line and caves. Would highly recommend, our teenage boys loved it! "
"We met at the beach half an hour early, but our guide only needed 10 min to prepare the kayaks, so no need to stress. We had time to eat breakfast at the local café. He was very helpful throughout the day, even though we had rented kayaks without the guide tour. I recommend taking the guide tour because it felt a bit unsafe to go ashore with the waves that day"
