Have you ever been to Plaza de la Armeria?
The Plaza de la Armería is a square in Madrid that is located between the Almudena Cathedral and the south facade of the Royal Palace. It was designed by Narciso Pascual and Colomer with the collaboration of Enrique María Repullés and Vargas and the works were completed in 1892.
In the epoch of the Real Alcázar in this place there was only an esplanade known as Plaza del Palacio until in the seventeenth century an arch known as Arco de Palacio was built and the square was also renamed Plaza del Arco de Palacio. This arch existed until the last third of the 19th century. In the place occupied by the square, the streets of Malpica, Santa Ana la Vieja, Pumar, Plaza de Caballerizas and Palacio las Plazuelas de los Pajes and del Postigo were also in the past.
