- What To Expect

You will meet us at the Marina of Vila Franca do Campo for check-in and equipment setup, at the specified time.

The journey will start with a short briefing introducing you to local species, responsible practice on activity, onboard safety, and snorkeling equipment usage.

Everyone will follow the Guide and Skipper to board their designated boat, and go out to sea. Our lookout high inland will then locate our friends, and provide directions via VHF Radio to where the boat will travel - initially at high speed, so hold on and enjoy the ride!

While approaching our friends slowly, and very carefully, your Guide will evaluate if favorable conditions are met to allow the activity proceeding.

Is it guaranteed that Dolphins will interact?

It is important to understand that, in the wild, it is not possible to control animal behavior, and proximity or interaction can never be guaranteed.

Is this a high conservational risk activity?

Yes. A qualified Guide in Biology (or related area), will always be present to ensure the best environmental & conservation standards during the activity. If your swimming with dolphins activity has to be stopped, by signs of behavioral disturbance or avoidance, or if in any way it becomes stressful for the animals, your tour will proceed to the coastal snorkeling tour included. It is not permitted to: use fins, touch, feed, be too noisy, make abrupt movements, or swim too fast in their direction.
