This excursion will be marked by the long maritime tradition of Galicia. We propose you to know the Rías Baixas and the region of O Salnés, understanding a little more the culture of Galicia drinking from its sea, its landscape and the customs of these towns bathed by the Atlantic. Pontevedra, Combarro, O Grove will dazzle us with its large marine spaces, including a catamaran ride along the estuary with tasting of mussels on board. The excursion ends in Cambados with the visit to this seafaring village.
The excursion outlines the peninsula of Salnés, between the Rías Baixas of Arousa and of Pontevedra and of islands big and small: Ons, in the estuary of Pontevedra, and Arousa, Sálvora, Cortegada and To Toxa, in the one of Arousa.
Program:
Travel from Santiago de Compostela to the Rías Baixas on a full-day tour that goes through the Galician region of Spain.
Start off in the capital city of Pontevedra, with a vibrating life in the old part of town, Walking a route by the narrow side streets of the historical centre.
Continue on to Combarro, a village known for its archaeological heritage, It´s a picturesque village of “Combarro” the most significant site in Combarro are the Hórreos (typical Galician granaries).
Arriving next in O Grove, board a catamaran that will take you along the Ría de Arousa. Learn about the mussel production in the area and how the river is used as a hatchery. You will have the opportunity to taste this delicacy, along with samples of Albariño wine y tasting of mussels.
After your boat trip, stop and enjoy free time to get lunch.
Then continue to the capital of the Albariño, Cambados.
Finally back to Santiago, arriving at 7:00pm

Cont .:The route, according to legend, is the same that you followed the boat that had transported the rest of the apostle Santiago to Padron. we will navigate between the trays in which the famous mussels welsh are cultivated.
The tour ends in Cambados monumental that has the title of "Noble Villa". This nobility can be seen in the old stones that make up Fefiñáns (XVII century), with its palace noble, and the romanesque church of San Bieito (SIXTEENTH century) that flank.
Cambados is the capital's undisputed Albariño, which celebrates its feast on the first weekend of August.
Finally, return to Santiago, arriving at 19:00
