11-Day Trekking Trip In The Langtang Valley

Langtang valley Trekking starts from the lower Langtang Valley, the important trading route with Tibet; the influence is seen in the villages and peoples. Walking through the Langtang National Park, you may have the chance to see some interesting animals and birds. Animals like monkeys, musk deer and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Daphne can be seen.

Continuing from Langtang valley to Kyangjin Gompa (3,740 m), we reach the site of the Yala Cheese Factory. There is a STOL airstrip at Chhaldang, a short distance east of Kyangjin. You should definitely visit the Yala Cheese Factory (4.633 m) and the small lakes because they are truly amazing. Yala can be reached within half a day from Kyangjin Gompa.

From Kyangjin Gompa, the pastures of Langsisa (4.084 m) lead to numerous glaciers. If you want to visit the local people, some huts in Langsisa can be reached within one days walk from Kyangjin Gompa. During the Langtang valley trekking, you can climb the up Kyangjin- RI and enjoy spectacular views of Langtang and other Himalayan range. After the wonderful view from top back to same hotel, visit the Monastery, and explore Kyangjin valley rest of the time.

The best time for Langtang valley trekking is beginning of March to end of May and beginning of September to end of December. But, you can change the details of the journey according to your necessity.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, Transfer to Hotel and trip information.
Airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, Holding the name plate of Outshine Aventure on arrival, then we transfer to Hotel, after your check inn at Hotel, we take you at our company for documentation and information.

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Trek Preparation.
Wake up early morning, have breakfast at hotel than around 9 am we start the tour for Kathmandu Durbar squire, Syambhunath, Buddhanath and Pashupatinath. We provide expert tour guide to explain the monuments and private car for the sightseeing. At afternoon you will have some time at afternoon for equipment shopping or preparation.

Day 3 : Drive to Syabrubeshi. 1550 Meters.
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft): 7-8 hours We leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a village which is also the starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal. Our trek for today ends with a descent into the small village of Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel. 2560 Meters.
Trek from Shabrubeshi to Lama Hotel. From today after breakfast, your trekking starts. You start your walking at your own pace and the trail ascends for around two hours through the forest followed by a climb of about an hour to reach Bamboo village (1,850m/6,068ft) where you’ll stop for lunch. This forested path with well- stabilized trails and following the upstream and can be seen birds life around the bushes. Bee hives hanging on a cliff are another attraction for the visitors. From here you will again steeply climb through the bamboo forest to reach the Lama Hotel (2560m/8396ft) where you’ll rest and overnight at a local teahouse. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 5 : Trek to Langtang Valley. 3455 Meters.
Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley. Today you will have a pleasant walk and follow the trail through rhododendron and pine forest for around three hours to reach Ghoda Tabela where you will stop for lunch. This surrounding area dense wild habitat area and many small babblers with lot of herbal can be found here. After lunch you will walk another three hours on the scenic trail takes you to Langtang village (3455m/11332ft) where you will relax for the evening. O/n at mountain lodge.

Day 6 : Trek to Kyanjing Gompa 3870 Meters.
Trek from Langtang Valley to Kyanjing Gompa 3870m3.30 hrs walk. Another day of walk into the incredible Langtang valley starts after the mouthwatering mountain breakfast and advances towards Kyanjing village as the destination. The walk of the day takes us past beautiful mountain surrounding with amazing views and cultural, spiritual richness. The trail that winds up and down the beautiful mountain tests our endurance. we reach here by lunch and we have half day to explore around.We visit the amazing Kyanjing Gompa, a beautiful and sacred Buddhist monastery and can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Himalayas.

Day 7 : Explore Hidden Valley including Tserko Ri. 5000 Meters.
Acclimatization- Explore Tserko Ri (5000m/16,404ft) 7-8 hours We spend the whole day exploring Tserko Ri which will also help us acclimatize to the high altitude. We begin early in the morning. The trail passes through yak pastures before ascending to Tserko Ri. The sunrise view from the top of Tserko Ri is extraordinary. We get back to Kyangjin Gompa by late afternoon and explore the beautiful monastery while enjoying views of the Himalayas, glaciers, birds and yaks.

Day 8: Trek back to Lama Hotel. 2560 Meters.
Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 6-7 hours We begin our trek after breakfast and retrace our steps to Lama Hotel. Most of the trekking today will be downhill as we pass through forests and beautiful Tamang villages. We also get to enjoy different view of the Himalayas that we had missed climbing up. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Day 9: Trek back to Syabrubesi. 1550 Meters.
Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi: 4-5 hours We basically retrace our steps back to Syabrubesi. The trek will be easier as it will mostly involve descending. Overnight in Syabrubesi.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu. 800 Meters.
Drive back to Kathmandu from Syabrubeshi through the same previous road/ After breakfast catch a coach to set for Kathmandu. After reaching in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel. Have a rest. In evening you can stroll around Thamel, the major tourist destination of Kathmandu. You can do some last minute shopping of souvenirs for your family and relatives. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11 : Transfer to International Airport for your final departure.
After your Breakfast at Hotel we transfer to International Airport according to your flight time. We could increase the tours or extra activities if you have extra days available according to your desire.
