This tour starts at the Cais do Sodré River Station. The boat is full of color and hand-painted flowers that offers a touch of charm and authenticity. Only seven boats of this size remain, all of them inscribed in the Navy Museum, which makes this tour quite unique.
As soon as you depart, you’ll discover the amazing waterfront area between Praça do Comércio and Cais do Sodré, and Ribeira das Naus where many of the Portuguese explorers’ ships were built. Next is the Commerce square, rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1755.
Along the way, while slowly navigating the Tagus waters, you will have the opportunity to admire the most amazing monuments and buildings of the city, such as São Jorge castle, Lisbon Cathedral, Alfama, the National Pantheon, the statue of Christ the King and the 25th of April Bridge.
Also you’ll see the neighborhood of Belém, famous for its monuments. See the Jeronimos monastery and Belém Tower, both World Heritage Sites. Marvel at Padrão dos Descobrimentos, celebrating the Portuguese explorers.
