Langtang Helambu trek about 72 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu, is noted for its scenic grandeur and pleasant climate. The Helambu region, extending from north of Taramarang to the tree limit of the Gosainkunda Lake and lower slopes of Jugal Himal, has several highland Tamang and Sherpa villages, scattered on both sides of the Malemchi Khola. Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters). There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel at 3 stars level, inclusive breakfast.
Day 02: 40 min. drive Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1300m), and trek to Chisapani (2194m). Driving 40 minutes an walking 4 hours. Overnight at the guest house. [Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner].
Day 03: Trek to Khutumsang (2446m) walking 6 hours. Overnight at the guest house. [Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner ].
Day 04: Trek to Tharepati (3597m). walking 5 hours. Overnight at the guest house. [Breakfast/ L unch/Dinner].
Day 05: Trek to Tarke Gyang (2560m). walking 5:30 hours. Overnight at the guest house. [Breakfast/ L unch/Dinner ].
Day 06: Tarke Gyang to Shermathang (2621m). walking 5 hours. Overnight at the guest house. [Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner].
Day 07: Trek down to Melamchipul Bazar (846m), and drive back to Kathmandu by bus and transfer to the hotel at 3 stars level. Walking 3 hours and driving 3 hours. O/N at hotel. [Breakfast/ Lunch].
Day 08: After breakfast, the trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu international airport for your final flight departure from Nepal.
- What Will You Do
This trek is rated as an easier trek because the elevations are lower, ranging between 800m. and 3600m., which indicates less climbing and warmer temperatures. One advantage to this trek is there are fewer trekkers here than on the Annapurna trek and some parts of the Everest treks, but there is still a wide range of cultures and spectacular scenery.- What To Expect
