Northern Albania and Kosovo share a common past and culturally are so much alike. The dialect spoken called “Geg dialect” includes all northern Albania, Kosovo and beyond.
We will start the tour in Tirana and head north toward Valbona Valley and Dukagjini area in Kosovo. We end the tour in Tirana.
The North Albania has an unique landscape and offer the opportunity to meet interesting people and to be challenged every day during the tour

- What To Expect
Day 1. Transfer Airport – TiranaThe group is met at the airport by our Guide and Driver and transfer to the hotel in Tirana.
Day 2. Tirana- Marikaj- Kruja – Rubik
Breakfast in Tirana. Today we start the day by visiting the History Museum in Tirana. After the visit we head to the agritourist center of Marikaj where a nice lunch arrangement waits for us (Sondor Travel).
Day 3. Rubik – Prizren – Pejë
Breakfast in Rubik. We travel today through the Nation’s Highway toward Prizren, Kosovo. I
Day 4. Pejë – Gjakovë – Valbonë
Breakfast in Peja. Today we visit in Decani Serbian Orthodox Monastery enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage List.
Day 5. Valbona – Kukaj – Valbona
Breakfast in Valbona. Today we will walk for about 1 hour to Kukaj village where we will learn more about the life of the local shepherds.
Day 6. Valbona – Fierze – Koman – Shkoder
Breakfast in Valbona. We travel by our minibus until Fierza to catch the boat that sails for about 2 hours through Koman Lake. In Koman lake have been built 3 of the most important hydro power plants in Albania with an installed power of 600 MW.
Day 7. Shkoder – Durres – Berat
Breakfast in Shkodër. Today we head to Durrës the 2nd biggest city in Albania, which dates back to 7th century BC to visit the Roman Amphitheatre.
Day 8. Berat – Elbasan – Tirana
Breakfast in Berat. Our journey will take us to Elbasan where we will visit the Castle, which dates back from 15th century and Saint Mary church in the castle. Next we go for lunch (group expenses) in one of the restaurants in Elbasan. After lunch we drive to Tirana. Dinner in restaurant Sky Tower (Sondor Travel) Overnight: Tirana
Day 9. Tirana – Dajti Mountain – Tirane
Breakfast in Tirana. Today we take an excursion to Dajti Mountain by cable car. It take about 20 minutes to reach Dajti Mountain and visit the site. From there we can enjoy a nice panorama of Tirana city. Lunch is organized in the site as well (Sondor Travel). We turn back to Tirana on afternoon. Dinner in Tirana (on group expenses) Overnight: Tirana
Day 10. Tirana – Airport “Mother Teresa”
Breafkfast in Tirana. Transfer in airport. End of the Program
