Yangon is the former capital and a sprawling city, lined by the Yangon River on the west and the Bago River on the south. You will be guided across the city in a vehicle with air conditioning and with a local English speaking guide.
Your journey begins to explore through the colonial-style city center area with colonial building still standing elegantly, and the busy harbor.
First visit golden Sule Pagoda built over 2,000 years ago. And see the impressive city hall of Yangon from green Mahabandola Park (Former Fythch Square). And continue through others impressive colonial buildings.
Proceed then to the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi. After a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake, stroll through the Bogyoke (Scotts) Market (closed on Mondays and public holidays) with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores.
